Among the inventors discussed were George Westinghouse Jr. (railroad air-brake) and his father George Westinghouse Sr. (agricultural machines), Charles Steinmetz of General Electric (alternating current), the construction of the iron-clad warship Monitor in Troy, and Arthur Knight (the Schenectady Putter).
